Handmade porcelain butterfly brooch, wood fired and salt glazed.

Using a beautiful wooden stamp, I impress slabs of soft white porcelain, with a relief design. Each brooch is hand cut and made slightly concave in the palm of my hand, edges softened.

The magical process of wood firing and saltglazing results in each one becoming individual, some paler, some with slight speckle from the wood ash, all subtly different.

The approx size of each brooch is 65mm wide by 30mm.
