Set of three small handmade porcelain buttons.

Using beautiful wooden stamps I impress slabs of soft white porcelain, before choosing small areas of detail to feature on each button. Each button is hand cut and made slightly concave in the palm of my hand, edges softened. Holes are cut using a beautiful old tool I inherited from a dear friend. a subtle cobalt blue catches nicely on the relief decoration, beneath a very pale celadon glaze.

The approx. size of each button is 17mm diameter, 3mm thick.

Care: These are very high fired and porcelain is a very (fine particle) durable clay. Once sewn onto a garment it can either be hand washed or machine washed on a gentle cycle - I would suggest putting the garment inside a protective washing bag or pillowcase whilst in the washing machine.
