Squared dish, with stamp decorated base. I use this kind of pot a lot in the kitchen for baking fruit crumble or serving vegetables on the table.

I threw this pot on the wheel without a base and altered the shape whilst still soft. Once leather hard I join the base, rolling it up around the sides to form a rounded edge. Stamp decorated with my little wooden stamp. I make this kind of pot in two sizes - this is the smaller of the two. (There is a larger companion pot also available for sale in my online shop).

I left the outside of this pot un-slipped, the colour is the natural colour of the clay with saltglaze. Inside is a creamy to toasty orange shino.  Fired in the wood-fired slat glaze kiln.
